I started as the anomaly, I didn’t particularly care for M. Night Shyamalan’s movies. Over time, his shine seems to have worn off a bit with the masses. His last movie, Lady In The Water, certainly didn’t convert many new people to his fan base.
How is his upcoming film, The Happening, being marketed in order to bring people back to the theatre? I’ve heard to promotional spots for it over the past week touting “His first ‘R’ rated film.” The best thing they have is to point out that it’s rated ‘R’ and closed to a portion of the potential audience? Maybe a younger crowd will sneak in hoping for nudity?
