Road March For Warriors expects more than 1000 bikes and other vehicles to support veterans and view the unveiling of East Tennessee Veterans Memorial.

KNOXVILLE, TENN. – Sept. 8, 2008, Road March For Warriors is a grassroots effort to support a broad range of Veteran’s causes across East Tennessee. As a way to draw attention to the needs of veterans, reach out to provide assistance, and honor them, a road rally has been staged for November 15, 2008.

The event, open to everyone, will begin at Tennessee Smokies Park with an 8am start heading to World’s Fair Park for the unveiling of the East Tennessee Veterans Memorial. After the unveiling, riders will proceed to Wild Wing Café in Farragut.

Booths will be set up at Tennessee Smokies Park and Wild Wings Cafe to make veterans support services available to those in need, and to allow visitors to support these worthy causes.

The event is designed to provide monetary support to the Wounded Warrior Project and the East Tennessee Veterans Memorial Association.

Aside from cash donations, a collection drive is underway to collect items needed for Veterans at the VA Hospital in Mountain Home, TN and the Atchley State Veterans Home in Knoxville. UT Federal Credit Union will be taking donations at both the White Avenue and Kingston Pike locations.
